The Sun is shining... The Weather is sweet...makes you want to move...those dancing feet.

Presently, i'm working on a webcam to spare everyone, of any further false weather forecasts from destroying potentially great weekends for our visitors! With Memorial Day Weekend, in the books, (Thanks to all, we enjoyed you, see you next year!) we shift from Spring to Summer.

Daily, at this point, we are at the pool. Water...85 degrees. Feels nice. The sun does too.

With June Rates still being discounted, and available to all, still, at $89. In recent years we have watched rates go up to 129 in mid-june. Our special rate, straight from our family, is aimed at high hopes of helping more people afford to get up here, and make those forever lasting priceless memories on Cape Cod!

Over the past 2 weeks, it has been truly heartbreaking to hear of so many who missed out on Cape Cod, because of innaccurate weather forecasts. If anyone would like, call us, for a weather update. This week, 75 sunny, not humid yet. And still they ask, what's your favorite month on Cape Cod.

June... beautiful warm sunny weather, with The National Seashore still being free, and quiet, never crowded, while the Cape is boasting quite an insane list proving that fun, and adventures are aplenty, as seen in the below link to the long list of activities, (i will update for your perusal)
For some, it may be the lack of traffic, for me, it is the weather and the type of person that visits during this month of pure beauty, and my personal favorite...June.

Gardens bursting with color, I'm always working hard during this month. My son is 4 now, rounding the corner to finishing up with his second year of pre-school, and age 5, as well. I enjoy myself, my life, and everyone in it, more than most could ever grab a scope on.

In particular, as i mentioned above, the people, the crowd, the laid back, intelligence, of those crashing the island during this pre-season "summer time" month. the fishing is solid, the sun-index is also, with all the locals back in town, those who come to stay with us up here, truly live their vacations almost exactly how the locals most commonly would.

It is with such offerings, that i present to you all this list... of pure fun...should something strike your interest. Click on it. I'm joking, I mean that upon your arrival, one of us will certainly be able to slide you in the right direction for most everything needed on the getaway, in taking you in under our wing...while we still have time to sit, chat, shoot the breeze, and blog...

The Truro Wine Vineyards, always ready to lead you on one of their Tasting Tours. Yes, Fun. Concerts, live music, abound. Nite life and Day Life...Do we have any June Basket Weaving Party Animals! Hesitate not. Scan Below. Oh, Its there. A Blog this would be not, if in such company, i didn't pay my most proper respects in recommending an action packed afternoon so full of sights & sounds, that auditory overstimulation certainly comes right along with it. Honestly, its interesting. I went...in 8th Grade. I would go back though. I promise. I just haven't yet. Enough suspense? The Sandwich Glass Museum... bring on the Fanatics.
Activities, or relaxation...whatever your pleasure, June is like May. Except 30 degrees warmer, yet only $10 more per nite.

See you soon. At rug weaving!

Come on Down to the Olde Tavern Motel, nicely nestled into the corner of Cape Cod.

More than ever, this year, the locals, have banded together and really put together a solid list of daily and weekly activities, THEREFORE, i have included the link directly to Cape Cod's Ongoing Events & Activities Page

Enjoy & we hope to see you soon!

Cape Cod Summer Baseball

Ladies & Gentlemen, attention all baseball fanatics!!! Eldridge Park, the home to our Orleans Firebirds (formerly known as the Orleans Cardinals) has a longtime reputation for being the Premeir Cape Cod Summer Baseball League Field. Recently renovated, our field received an enormous grant from the YAWKEY FOUNDATION!

The summer Cape Cod Baseball League, in all of it's glorious history, has professional Major League Baseball Scouts in attendance nightly. Players make themselves available for afternoon and post game autographs, and dream-like photo opportunities.

The league's nationwide popularity lends to the fact that, more professional baseball stars have come from our Cape Baseball League, than ALL other summer leagues in the country, combined.

RED SOX GREATS : NOMAR, CARLTON FiSK, and more have played in our backyard!

Other notables, Darryl Strawberry, Frank Thomas, Chris Sabo, Will Clark, and Mark Texeira, and hundreds more.

This incredibly special gem of a collegiate baseball league continues to spark the interest of our nations favorite pastime, and MLB team scouts. On any given night, you may be watching several future Hall of Fame Players.

Our own, Orleans Firebirds are atop the nation's best recruits. Our hometown, Eldridge Park Field, is located on the other side of our 50 acre backyard woodland, and pond.

Its popularity also stems from the summertime week-long baseball camps, which are conducted by players. This has become a fabulous option for family vacations, as well a source of excitement for the next generation of aspiring baseball stars.

Come join us here, for a wonderful evening of summertime baseball, under the lights within walking distance. (as parking is limited)

See website for schedule, call us with questions.

While games remain free to attend, the field also hosts special events such as the Pops in the Park, the United States Marine Corp. Silent Drill Team, and Octoberfest, among many other events; all of which, remain loyal annual guests of ours at the Olde Tavern Motel, given our close proximity to the field!

On property, as well, boasts the advantage of sporting a great playground and tennis courts. (for those lacking the attention for a 9 inning game) In as much as parking is limited, while staying with us, you can walk.
We can also share our LOCAL parking secrets with you to avoid frustration. However, seating is never limited.
